DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, November 5th\, 2022\nDesigning Your Holiday Furoshki\n(Japanese wrapping cloth)\nwith Resist Techniques\nto Enhance Your Professional and Personal Lives\n \nDuring this intensive workshop we will explore\nresist dye concepts\, learn three resist dye techniques (shibori)\,\nand design a square cotton textile piece.\nThe textile will be dyed\, the resist materials removed\, and the design will be revealed. The atelier is between Bushwich Ave and Humboldt Street.\nBy car: Street parking is available. \nAbout Mary Jaeger: \n\nMary worked in Japan for almost a decade designing clothing and accessory collections for kimono and obi companies\, using traditional dyeing techniques\, and for department stores.
