DESCRIPTION:\n\nWednesday\, June 17\, 2020   \n11 am – 12 pm ET\nVia Zoom\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGarette Johnson will take us through overarching cultural and attitudinal themes driving design in Scandinavia that are rapidly influencing the future of design the world over. With expertise across fashion\, interiors\, product development\, consumer insight and cultural arts\, Garette will share her unique perspective informed by futures studies and trend research abroad.\n\n\n\n\n\nIn 2018\, the IFDAEF awarded Garette Johnson the Valerie Moran Memorial Grant for professional development studies abroad. Garette traveled to Copenhagen\, Denmark to learn a futures forecasting methodology called Scenario Planning at the Copenhagen Institute for Futures Studies as well as research how Danish culture informs urban planning and interior design.
