SUMMARY:IFDA NY- OMG! I'm on a Panel!
DESCRIPTION:  \n \n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRose Hittmeyer  \n has evolved through several careers\, including Fashion\, Home Textiles\, a Non-Profit creating recycled tote bags\, and now Interior Design.  Starting out designing ladies evening wear\, she developed her love of luxe fabrics and details such as beading and embroidery using them in her second incarnation as a Home Fashion Designer. She used her expertise and passion for dressmaker details to create bedding and decorative accessories\, including pillows\, throws\, door mats\, and window treatments. That’s when she joined IFDA and discovered that she could roll all the aspects of those experiences into Interior Design. With an IFDA grant and scholarship\, she returned to her Alma Mata FIT for her Interior Design degree. After graduation she joined her mentor Charles Pavarini III at Pavarini Design and continues to be the IFDA NY Chapter Administrator including Co-chairing the IFDA Rising Stars and founding the IFDA Career Advancement Initiative.\n\n\n\n• • • • • • • • • • • • • • •\n\nOver the past 20 years\, Ruth Olbrych has been at the ground level of launching and growing 2 businesses selling high end product online…said product being Chinese antiques\, for her own business \, Antiques by Zaar\,  and custom British made Chesterfield sofas\, for Distinctive Chesterfields. Her initial presence at the High Point in 2004 served as validation of her online business to the trade audience that overall was hesitant to trust purchases of something as personal and significant as a Chinese Antique. Her how the tables have changed over the past 20 years . Now your online presence serves to validate your physical presence. Her “current situation?” Moving from owning inventory (Chinese antiques) to solely representing companies that offer excellent product from around the world…giving a nod to her “international” life having lived in 5 different countries…namely Haiti\, Thailand \, Taiwan\, Canada and of course the Usa. There is nothing that juices me up more than serving to offer confidence to customers …in the product and the process.\n\n\n• • • • • • • • • • • • • • •\n\n\nDavid Santiago launched his design business Casa Santi Interior Design (www.CasaSanti.com) in 2011. He caters to clients who seek the unique\, creative details that elevate a project blending his traditional sensibility with the unexpected\, known as his signature and trademark “Santified”. His Strictly Santi brand was created as an umbrella brand in 2018 and since then\, David launched several products; a lighting collection with American Brass & Crystal Lighting and a wallpaper collection entitled The Passport Collection\, catering to hospitality and residential markets with Bijou wallcoverings. David is known as the “Prince of Wallpaper” highlighting his ability to master the art of wallpaper application on every project. David is acknowledged by the High Point Market  Authority as an influencer. He is the Co-President of the NY Chapter of the International Furniture and Design Association (IFDANY)\, an active contributing member of the Interior Design Society (IDS)\, International Society of Furniture Design\, and Accessory Resource Team. He also serves on charity committees for The Bailey House\, Kids Need More\, Hope Lodge and My Face. Currently\, David continues to give back through the media platforms as a design and lifestyle correspondent for “The Donna Drake Show” on CBS NY and guest designer on the NBC hit television series “George To The Rescue”.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nClick here for the link to join us!\n\n
