Circular economy practices are becoming more widely understood and have finally taken a foothold in the built environment and furnishings industry. But how do we accelerate this movement, what is the next frontier of circular progress, and what impact can it have?
Entrepreneur, Laurence Carr, IFDA, founder and CEO of Laurence Carr Inc, Designing a More Circular Future ™, and platform partner of Circular City Week, will moderate a stellar expert panel with pioneers of the sustainability and circularity movement including:
Tone Søndergaard, director of Circular City Week and Danish CleanTech Hub,
Susan Inglis, resident expert and former executive director of The Sustainable Furnishings Council, and
Trammell Crow, chairman and founder of EarthX and EarthXTV.
Laurence and her guests will discuss key takeaways of EarthXTV’s original series, Chez Laurence, season two and address core issues pertaining to the future of circularity in the built environment, furnishings and design-related industries.

Entrepreneur, Designer, TV personality, Laurence Carr, IFDA, is an expert in circular design and is an advocate for advancing sustainable and healthy materials in the built environment. Her style combines essentialist luxury, contemporary aesthetics, and biophilia. This unique combination has been shaped by her love of Western European architecture and art, influences from global cultures and craftsmanship from where she has lived, and a deep respect for nature. She is the creator, executive producer, and host of an EarthX TV original series (available on Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Prime, Google TV), Chez Laurence, which showcases the urgent need for and innovation toward circularity and sustainability in the design and furnishings industries. Season 2 will launch in 2022.
Nominated for “Design for Humanity” at ASID National Awards and honored for numerous sustainable interior design awards, her work has been featured in Elle Decor, Interior Design, The Wall Street Journal, Business of Home, Metropolis and more. Laurence is an Ambassador for the Sustainable Furnishings Council and regularly participates in speaking engagements for international trade shows ICFF x Wanted Design, High Point Market, Maison & Objet, KBIS, NKBA, and podcasts to promote the adoption of circular economy practices in the industry.
