The Scalamandré Showroom
979 Third Ave. Suite 1002
Our Master of Ceremonies:
Lorraine Lang, Executive Vice President of Design, Scalamandré
Lorraine Lang’s long-time passion for textiles blossomed after studying Fine Art Painting both in New York and Paris. This made for a smooth transition into textile studies at a time when designs were created by painting them. Her love for classical patterns, in both prints and wovens, lead her to the door of the Scalamandré mill in Long Island City. She was mentored by Adriana Bitter, the owner of Scalamandré in creating and producing prints, wallpapers and wovens.
Life’s changes brought Ms. Lang to Old World Weavers, shortly after Stark Carpet bought the company from Iris Apfel and Carl Apfel.
When the Renzo family merged Scalamandré with Old World Weavers, Lorraine Lang was brought full circle to her current role as VP of Design for the Scalamandré brands

ARTEMEST GALLERIA
will Host IFDA NY
on their outdoor patio and
we can also immerse ourselves in their new show:
the architecture and interior design studio founded by Britt Moran and Emiliano Salci, in a full takeover of
Artemest Galleria New York.
The designer duo presents WEST CHELSEA, a museum-like exhibition featuring an exclusive capsule collection of one-of-a-kind furniture pieces.
The mood of the exhibition was inspired by the America of the 1960s and 1970s, both in terms of colors and furniture finishes.
The reference of the project are the large American working environments of that period, those of Billy Wilder’s 1960 film “The Apartment” or Colin Higgins’ 1980 film “Nine to Five”.
Bring your Business cards to sign in and for the best networking in town!
